Can you please provide some more detail:
* What version of Yaffs are you using? What Linux kernel? What CPU, flash
etc?
* Have you had it working at all or was this crash straight away on the
first attempt to use it?
* How have you configured the device? Inband tags, chunk size, etc?
* Try enabling some yaffs tracing and see what extra info that gives you.
