The only time, so far, that there have been tagged versions has been
when something has been done that was expected to muddy the water for a
while. For example, there are some pre and post tags when some of the
lindenting was done.

The general rule is that the latest is considered to be the best. Any
difference to that will be tagged and notified on the list.

Some tagging will likely be required when the new mtd stuff is
introduced.
